Team Christopher B. Howard Dr. Howard advises the firm’s Africa-related clients. An expert on African Affairs, Dr. Howard has worked in sales, marketing, international project management, strategic planning, business development and internal consulting at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Beginning in May 2003, Howard served in General Electric’s Corporate Initiatives Group where he reported to the Chief Information Officer. He was called to active duty during 2003 in Afghanistan where he was awarded a Bronze Star and currently serves as the Reserve Air Attaché to Liberia. He returned to GE in mid-August 2004 where he worked on several initiatives. Howard has also worked in Johannesburg where he served as the acting Managing Director of Endeavor, a global initiative that supports entrepreneurs in the developing world. In September 2005, Howard joined former senator and governor David Boren as the Vice President for Leadership & Strategic Initiatives at the University of Oklahoma where he also serves as the Director of the Honors College Leadership Center and a President’s Associates Presidential Professor.
