Our client, a U.S. chemical company, faced prohibition of a key product because of an EU regulatory challenge.  Our plan focused on strengthening industry and constituency support in EU member states, by highlighting the potential impact on our clients’ customer base of large European conglomerates, while developing white papers on the usefulness and safety of the product.  We also opened a dialogue with the EC to understand its position, and to explore possible resolutions.

Result: The client reached an acceptable resolution with the EC, and its export safety and environment review committees. The product remains on the market today.
