In the aerospace and defense sectors, our team has advised leading multinational firms, leveraging the expertise of several team members who have worked on civil aviation, aerospace and defense issues within the U.S. government over multiple decades. In the U.S., the firm is active in the homeland security arena, through our partnership with Civitas Group, a strategic advisory and investment firm serving the security market.

In the transportation sector, Stonebridge has undertaken projects in the auto and rail sectors, assisting a major auto manufacturer on its global operations and advising a Fortune 100 manufacturing conglomerate on rail acquisitions in the BRICs countries.

Our work in the energy sector has been extensive, covering oil and gas issues in Russia, Nigeria, Venezuela, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Central Asia and China, and power sector work in Latin America and Asia. Projects have included extensive analysis of political risk and sector developments, as well has support for specific project bids.

Stonebridge has a strong track record in the financial services industry, leveraging our collective private and public sector experience in the sector, including at the Treasury and Commerce Departments, OPIC and within the investment and commercial banking sectors. We have undertaken a number of projects in the insurance, consumer finance and investment banking arena around the world, including facilitating approvals of specific transactions.

Stonebridge has worked on a series of client engagements in the manufacturing sector, including supporting project bids, reputational risk advice, profile-raising activities and facilitating licensing/approval. Our activities have spanned the globe, and our knowledge extends across a range sectors including agribusiness, oil and gas, water treatment, automotive, civil aviation and numerous others.

We have developed a unique capacity in the mining sector, especially in China. Our depth in the China market coupled with China’s growing need to acquire new sources of metals and minerals has led to several projects in this sector. Beyond China, the firm also has a strong network in Latin America, an increasing focus of attention for many global mining companies, and in Russia we assisted a major metals company on a successful acquisition.

Stonebridge represents several of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies in markets throughout the world and has developed expertise in a wide range of issues facing this sector. As one of the most heavily regulated sectors, our clients face issues ranging from regulatory ambiguity to counterfeiting and price controls. We have undertaken projects aimed at anti-counterfeiting, drug pricing, patent issues, government relations, profile raising, healthcare policy advocacy, and others.

Stonebridge has undertaken several engagements in the information technology and telecommunications sectors, including for hardware manufacturers, software makers and service providers. Members of our team have first hand experience both in running IT companies as well as structuring deals.
