PRESS RELEASE STONEBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL ENHANCES EUROPEAN REACH WASHINGTON, DC, Wednesday, November 7, 2001 — Stonebridge International LLC announced today that Charles M. Ludolph has joined the firm as Senior Vice President. Mr. Ludolph, a 30-year veteran of the Department of Commerce, will assist clients doing business in Europe, including the European Union, Central and Eastern Europe and Russia. From June 1997 to October 2001, Charles M. Ludolph was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Europe at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he was responsible for developing the market access strategies for U.S. trade and investment with Western and Eastern Europe and the Newly Independent States. An economist, he directed the Department’s negotiations with the European Union and served in every international program during his thirty-year career at the Department of Commerce. “Charles brings the most sophisticated and up-to-date understanding of trends and events in Europe today, along with the essential perspective and ability to shape and execute results-oriented strategies,” said Samuel R. Berger, former National Security Adviser and Chairman of Stonebridge International. Mr. Ludolph joins Stonebridge International’s team of business leaders, scholars and former government officials who have served five administrations, both Republican and Democrat. Charles Ludolph was born in Waterbury, Connecticut in 1946. He holds an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and an MBA and DBA in international business from the George Washington University, and is on the Dean's Council at the George Washington Business School.
