PRESS RELEASE FORMER CONGRESSMAN AND 9/11 COMMISSION VICE-CHAIR LEE HAMILTON JOINS STONEBRIDGE BOARD OF ADVISORSWASHINGTON DC, June 6, 2006 -- Stonebridge International LLC, a leading international business advisory firm, today announced that former Congressman Lee Hamilton has joined the firm’s Board of Advisors. The board also includes former Senator Warren Rudman, Evercore Chairman Roger Altman, former senior advisor to Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush Craig Fuller, and U.S. Chamber of Commerce President Tom Donohue. “Lee is one of an elite group of public servants who have made a lasting imprint on the U.S., both during and following his service in the U.S. Congress. Lee Hamilton is President and Director of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and served as Vice-Chair of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks on the United States (popularly known as the 9/11 Commission). He is currently a member of the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board, and with former Secretary of State James Baker, Co-Chairs the Iraq Study Group. Previously, Mr. Hamilton served 34 years in the U.S. Congress, chairing multiple committees including the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Select Committee to Investigate Covert Arms Transactions with Iran. Since leaving government, he has served as a commissioner on the influential U.S. Commission on National Security in the 21st Century (the Hart-Rudman Commission), and was co-chair with former Senator Howard Baker of the Baker-Hamilton Commission to Investigate Certain Security Issues at Los Alamos. “His leadership of the Iraq Study Group demonstrates his commitment to helping solve the thorniest foreign policy challenges America faces – and to do so in a bipartisan way.
