PRESS RELEASE SCOTT R. BAYMAN, FORMER CEO OF GE-INDIA, JOINS STONEBRIDGE AS SENIOR DIRECTOR
“Scott Bayman is a treasure. His joining Stonebridge on July 1 will further leverage our capabilities in India on behalf of global companies. I saw him in action first hand while I was U.S. Ambassador to India, and there is no one more experienced and insightful, nor more highly respected by senior Indian government and business leaders,” said Ambassador Richard Celeste, former U.S. Ambassador to India and also a Stonebridge International Senior Director. As a Senior Director, Mr. Bayman joins Stonebridge’s India team of business leaders, scholars and former Indian and U.S. government officials. The team includes Senior Vice President Raymond E. Vickery, Vice President Diane McMahon, Senior Directors Pradman Kaul, Davinder Dogra, and C.K. Prahalad, Senior Advisers M.S. Verma and Lira Goswami, and is led by Stonebridge Vice Chairman H.P. Goldfield. Mr. Bayman led GE-India for 14 years, transforming a company with $100 million turnover and a few hundred employees to one that represents all of GE's global businesses with a turnover of almost $3 billion and over 13,000 employees in 2007. He is a member of the Board of the U.S. India Business Council, a trustee for Aspen India, past Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce India and sits on the corporate boards of Crompton Greaves Ltd, Mumbai; Punj Lloyd Ltd, New Delhi; and Jubilant Energy NV, The Netherlands. Mr. Bayman holds a Masters degree in Management from the Alfred P. Sloan School of Management, MIT, Massachusetts where he was a Sloan Fellow.
