JOHN K. SCHLOSSER, STATE DEPARTMENT OFFICIAL AND DEFENSE EXPERT, JOINS STONEBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL; BROADENS FIRM’S SOUTH ASIA CAPABILITIES
WASHINGTON, DC, November 15, 2007 — Stonebridge International, a leading international business strategy firm, announced today that former Director of the Office of Regional Affairs in the State Department’s Bureau of South & Central Asian Affairs, John K. Schlosser, has joined the firm as Vice President. His addition further enhances the firm’s Asia capabilities and expands the range of expertise offered to the firm’s clients, particularly in the defense sector.

John Schlosser, one of the U.S. Government’s top experts on defense, security and strategic issues, served most recently as Director of the Office of Regional Affairs in the State Department’s Bureau of South & Central Asian Affairs, where he was responsible for key foreign policy issues affecting the South and Central Asian region, including counter-terrorism, political-military and nonproliferation issues. A career Foreign Service Officer, John served in numerous positions overseas and in Washington, including as Director of the Office of Export Control Cooperation and Sanctions at the Bureau of Nonproliferation, and as Chief of the Political-Military Unit in Warsaw where he helped shape security assistance and arms sales policies, including U.S. participation in fighter aircraft tender during the late 1990s. John is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, and did his doctorate research at Stanford University.
His addition enhances Stonebridge’s India practice, comprised of firm Chairman Samuel R. Berger, instrumental in initiating a new era in U.S.-India ties in the 1990s; Vice-Chairman H.P. Goldfield; Senior Director Richard Celeste, former U.S. Ambassador to India; and Senior Director Scott Bayman, former President and CEO of GE-India.
