CHARLES PRINCE TO JOIN GLOBAL STRATEGIC CONSULTING FIRM STONEBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL
Prince to Advise Top Management on International Strategy
WASHINGTON, DC, September 15, 2008 —Stonebridge International LLC, the leading global strategic consulting firm, today announced the appointment of former Citigroup Chairman and CEO Charles Prince as Vice Chairman of the firm and Chairman of the firm’s Board of Advisors. At Stonebridge, Prince will help the firm and its clients identify and pursue new opportunities around the world at the nexus of international commerce and public policy. Building on his experience as a global business leader dealing directly with corporate and government heads around the world, Prince will also serve as a counselor to senior management and boards of directors, assisting them in times of transition and growth. Prince will continue his roles as a director of Johnson & Johnson and Xerox Corporation as well as trustee of The Brookings Institution, among others.
“With the increasing integration of world economies and the historic global flows of capital, there are more and more opportunities that span national boundaries and require deep business experience and international relationships with government leaders and regulators. Chuck is one of a handful of individuals who have that full range of experiences and talent,” said former Senator Warren Rudman, Co-Chairman of Stonebridge. “With offices and professionals in Washington, New York, China, India, Brazil, Russia, and Southeast Asia, Stonebridge is well positioned to help generate value in this environment, and Chuck is exceptionally qualified to accelerate our growth.”
During his time at Citigroup, Prince oversaw 350,000 employees in more than 100 countries. He has led and executed major transactions around the world including some of the largest deals in the most dynamic global markets. He provided corporations, governments and institutional investors with a wide range of services across many geographies and sectors. He also served as Chairman of the Financial Services Forum, an association of 20 chief executive officers of U.S. financial institutions, and co-chaired (representing the U.S.) the TransAtlantic Business Dialogue, the key framework for cooperation and dialogue among transatlantic business community and government leaders.
“I am delighted to join Stonebridge management, and see incredible opportunity given the firm’s global platform, trusted relationships across business and government, and its network of global clients. The nature of international business is changing rapidly, and I believe Stonebridge is uniquely positioned to provide tremendous value to its clients,” Prince said. “I am excited by the prospect of working with this talented team.”
